It’s Him

His features unassuming
But Divinity is there
His plainess is amusing
But richness beyond compare

His poverty apparent
But His joys fill the air
No He’s not affluent
But power drew crowds there

He had no palace oils
To give scent to His hair
Not having war’s spoils
But to the Kingdom The Heir

His meekness evident
But His majesty witnessed
Forced kingship, their intent
Salvation, He professed

His lack of a weapon
Made militancy reject
But in contagious compassion
Held hell’s legions in check

His mum’s address was known
He obviously dwelt among men
But though here, He had grown
His life was the Spirit of Heaven

No doubt in my mind
He is The Seed
The promised Human Divine

It’s Him
But He is not what I expected
He is all
Except everything by me accepted
