Weekly Plea

LORD, touch my heart
From the pulpit, from the start
All my feelings take apart
Run aross me like a harp
Leaving goosebumps every part
Drive the truth home, straight and sharp
O LORD, touch my heart
Make it race like a go-kart
Fly true and don’t depart
My heart the bullseye, your word the dart
O! LORD touch my heart
Just for this service’ divine part
Let it be like seeing fine art
Crafted word admired as You impart
And like another actor I’ve played my part
I’ll go back to my usual when this pew we depart
Don’t light the fire just let me feel the spark
Or else they’ll notice on the weekdays in this world dark

Please LORD touch my heart
But don’t change me

Light Dark

The example I give you would deem extreme
But I would like you to see as by me seen
If I tried to sell you Christian pornography
A customer of mine would you be
Well you give an answer so obviously
But the point you don’t quite see

So just for a moment give your ear to me
Or eyes as the case may be

The world is not caught in the foolery
Of trying disguise their ways as Christianity
In most cases they have no need, actually
They know it’s out right worldly
This is a believers’ struggle usually

To say it will do no harm
When it is the venomed serpent dressed in holy garb

Back to Christian pornography
Sex was gifted by God you see
But displayed for eyes ogling lustfully
No. This was not meant to be

But this is no struggle for the worldly
For what need
Approved of God to be
They are what they are outrightly
But the world the Christian also aims to please
And so they follow instead of lead

And so Christian pornography
Apostasy

The children of dark in this age
Are cleverer than the children of light at this stage
But that’s because we try persuade
And in the mix brightness tends to fade
Don’t be swayed
On Him desire to keep your eyes stayed
And we will be shown His way
His truth will give us opportunity
Loved ones will come out the dark successfully

But don’t expect to teach holy sexuality
By giving porn the first name of Christianity

Be of the light
Get your relationship right
Have your given identity in sight
Not everything we want is pleasing to His sight
If we pray, there are many fields He wants to give His might
But don’t try to call darkness light.

Worth

When there
You can’t see it

If you stumbled upon
A beautiful diamond
Would you have to think twice on
Whether to keep it so long

Because it is not cut or shaped
In mud it is still caked
The light, a full glitter it doesn’t make
This diamond would you still take

When there
You can’t see it

Do you think that diamond feels precious
Left, neglected, quarantined like it was infectious
Far be it that it’s beauty could enmesh us
Despite it’s feeling, high value it possesses

Listen, you are that diamond

The insecurities
That surround you and me
Is because we don’t see

Do you understand what it means
To be
Fearfully
And wonderfully

You are that diamond

Your beauty lies
In the tears you’ve cried
The dirt in which you lie
Making the mud that put off the passerby
Yes, despite
There is One who loves you on high

Your beauty lies
In all the times
You tried and tried
But you didn’t seem to come up to size
And still Someone loves you on high

You are that diamond

Fearfully, for His glory
Wonderfully, beauty for ashes the story

You still have worth
From the day of your birth
There is none like you, you are the first
And there is nothing worse
Than a diamond selling itself for the price of a tattered shirt
Or parading as a piece of dirt

If you knew His love
Your beauty is wrapped up above
And how it would shape you
And take you
Not just cahnge you
But make you
What you
Were already meant to
A diamond of value

In the mud clad
But choose His hand
And no matter where you stand
In depth of despair or dry land

You have value
Because He loves you
And that goes for your neighbour too

If you didn’t know
Learn it
He saw the vicious cross as His pulpit
He saw how saw you in the eternit
By His vicarious sacrifice
And said worth it

You are that diamond
When there
You can’t see it
Probably can’t feel it
But at the cross you can’t flee it

Because of love in heaven
On Earth
You have worth

Rightly Dividing: Purpose

What is the purpose of this life
What is the purpose for the joys and strife
For they are like a wisp of mist
Gone with the movement of the second’s tick

Most would have you believe
You live once and leave
That there is no such thing as joyful eternity
A harmonious place that is full, not empty

And then a dampened thought does usurp us
Does this life have purpose
Between the beginning and the end
Whether of the earth or giving in the life He did lend
Am I completing the purpose for which He did send
Was there a memo or class to attend
Did I lose and miss
My purpose

The purpose is not self
It’s not about amassing wealth
Nope, not about accolades on the shelf

For man was made with the purpose to
With God and angels to commune
And to this reality to pursue
Though sin has blotted our view
To the knowledge of this reality we are not immune
That inkling should drive us a clue

Knowing this life is the prepaid school
This the practicals
Before we acquire a home eternal
If we choose the right side in this dual
To choose Good and not the evil
To attain a character for the purpose original

It’s why we try this and that to pursue
But without the true goal in view
The victories evaporate like dew

This life isn’t about you
No matter how many times you buy a new shoe
Even they come in twos

Nothing is created to itslef
And even if we found a way it would tend to death
Purpose is not selfish

If anyone was self-sufficient
Jesus was it
But He came as a servant
To bring joy to mothers
To bless others
And we think we are here to horde treasures

So let us run this life’s race
With patience
Looking to the Author and Finisher of faith
Preparing for the day we see Him face to face
Vast fields of knowledge, of weariness no trace
No sign of sin and selfishness
No greed, revenge, just graciousness

Life’s purpose
Is selflessness
This the foundation of the commandments
Which is love in essence

So let us hear the conclude
Don’t for self pursue
He had a plan known for you
Before you even knew
But that plan is not about you
So His kingdom and righteousness pursue
And all these things will be added to you
Now and in abundance in the earth made new

Rightly Dividing: Love

What is love,
Baby don’t hurt me
Don’t hurt me no mo’

Of love, these are the words spoken
Who needs heart when it can be broken
Just a second hand emotion

Sex, fleeting feelings and pain
This is what we have been trained
To think the word ‘love’ is sayin’

What is Love’s true meaning
If it is not just a feeling

It’s that thing, when that person you have seen
You go weak in the knees
But the next day they disgust you like they have fleas
And to the next person your feeling cleaves
“You have no choice who you love”
Please! I

Love does not change like clothes and weather
It’s the choice to be together
When you don’t feel as light as a feather
Not only to fulfil your pleasure
But foremost consider their measure
To despite the real flaws, pray to see the real treasure

Love doesn’t excuse sin
But calls it what it is
In compassion
Knowing
That only death and misery follow sin
If you thought love was sin excusing
Think again
Calvary wasn’t amusing
Love pays the price so that death can stop pursuing
Love seeks reconciling

A mother doesn’t hate the child
When she corrects old-fashion style
She beats, without a smile
Even with tears all the while
But of her love there is no denial

Love seeks to do right
Not to make of sin light
Neither does it take pleasure in another’s plight
Love hates to backbite
Or to bite back
For revenge, the Lord owns that
And He judges to satisfact
And that’s a fact

Love doesn’t just shun evil to do
But searches and seeks good too
Pride is diminished in love’s sight
Boasting flees and envy takes flight

Love guards the mind
And guides the hands to be kind
Love, on His gentleness relies
For it makes great those who humbly decide
To be on love’s side

Until the time is fulfilled
Love doesn’t give in
But seeks to bring in
The lost to really living
Out of the darkness of sin

Notice love sounds like a person
And not a thing
With 1John 4.8 sayin’
Love is who God is

The deceptive love says you can’t help yourself.
It is an uncontrollable feeling.

But Absolute love says you can choose.
You have a choice.

Love is a high, holy principle
Not fleeting feelings, it’s as simple

No wonder we don’t fully understand love
But the right willingness to learn from above
We will grow in love
Like a tender plant
And not like a hot plate stove

It’s Crazy

It’s crazy
Those who are light want to be darker
And call it a tan
Those who are dark want to be lighter
And end up two-toned when they stand

It’s crazy
Those who are slim want to be bigger
And look like a boss
Those who are big want to be slimmer
Desire phone battery speed weight loss

It’s crazy
Those who are meer pedestrians
Want a set of wheels
Those on wheels, their health question
And go nowhere fast on treadmills

It’s crazy
Those who are broke want money
And don’t you find it funny
Those with money are fighting
And for their happiness still striving
Gold and joy have no automatic binding

It’s crazy
The lonely ones stand
And want to hold someone’s hand
While the popular one
Has a bullet in their back stunned
Surrounded but whose hand pulled the trigger to the gun

It’s crazy
That satan knows more about worship
But because we have egos that need constant service
We would rather think we know it
And continue because study isn’t worth it
But a 6 year masters, we’ll work it
More interest
In the internet
Than in the eternit
And we speak of heaven like we deserve it

Please permit
Me to say
It’s crazy

But the truth is
Whether dark or light
Baggy or skin-tight
Blind or with sight
The things we see are not the real fight
It’s really about wrong and right
And we are busy using bazookas on termites
Ignoring the log in our sight

Very few are happy with the way they look
But we ignore where in eternity we would be took

It’s like watching your child dying
And you’re fighting
The height of the nurse’s hem lining

Our priorities are the wrong way round
We have this upside down
Symptoms are the disease now
Like blamimg the braii on the availability of cows

We blame our twisted view
On how I can see her bra is blue
But thats only a key hole view
That has no place in here, this is true
But can you tell me about the God you wish I knew
Or does He even mean that much to you
Is He second to what people think of you

But once He becomes your point of view
These trivial matters we would cease to pursue
And they might think you are crazy too
But at least you’ll have a purpose true
And regrets won’t be a part of you
And why you smile you won’t have a clue
You’ll always know how God views you
And it pleases you to please Him too
So even when you look like a cock-eyed shoe
You know He loves you
So they won’t know how to explain you
Or shake you
But when they see God’s view
Through you
Who knows, they might just want to
Be crazy too
